I am a 53-year old mother, grandmother, wife, and website developer. I started working at the age of 15 at a local restaurant drive-thru (Bud's Chicken and Seafood). I was living on my own and supporting myself. At the age of 16, I worked at Airborne Express as a delivery driver and moved up to be their Customer Service Manager by the age of 19.
I went on to marry and have two beautiful children. My son is 31 and married with my six year old granddaughter and three year old grandson. My daughter is 28. My daughter was diagnosed at the age of six with severe systemic JRA and still struggles with her disease. My husband is a glass and glazing contractor. He has been working primarily for the past 20+ years for one client, Palm Beach Atlantic University.
For most of those 20 years, I have been a stay-at-home mother, selling on eBay as a Power Seller for at least 10-15 years to supplement our income. Eventually, due to my daughter's health, I started home schooling our children. As part of their home schooling, they learned how to write code to build websites. Including PHP, Java, CSS, Python and more.
In June 2019, I decided to take the knowledge I had learned over the years and build WordPress websites for clients. My daughter works for me part time, allowing her time to focus on her medical needs. Since June 2019, we have built more than 100+ websites.
